Arts and Crafts

Last year saw more than 70 crafters and artists on Main Street. Their unique and imaginative works included stone and precious metal jewellery, clothing leatherworks, ceramics, wrought iron, wood creations of all kinds, and fine artworks in a variety of mediums. There was even a selection of preserves and antipasto booths.

This year we expect another fine turnout.

The Festival Crafts Committee focuses on Canadian hand-made crafts, with a representation of interesting international works from regions such as Mexico, South America, and South East Asia. Crafter vendors will be on the street at the Markham Village Music Festival Friday evening and Saturday.

It's shaping up to be another great year for the Crafts Exhibits. In addition to many familiar faces coming back, we continue to receive applications from new entrants for this year, bringing a variety of works from Art to Wood Turnings to the Festival.
